District 'Wet Nights' as Popular as Ever

Last night marked the beginning of this season's District Scout 'Wet Nights', which take place on the Marine Lake, from our District HQ, 'Waterside Lodge'.

48 Scouts, from the various Scout Troops around our District turned up, in the glorious sunshine, for their chance to take part in the various Water Activities on offer, with the aim that, by September, they will have earned some form of qualification in either Sailing, Kayaking and Canoeing, or Bell boating.

These weekly Water Activity evenings are run by our Active Support Unit with various Beaver / Cub / Scout leaders who have also trained and qualified as Sailing / Kayak / Safety Boat Instructors and put these evenings on in addition to the various Scout units they already run.

If you would like to train to become an instructor in one of these disciplines, or already have the necessary qualifications and would like to help out on these evenings, please contact 'Waterside Lodge' for more details.
