Jun

Wingdings is a Bi-Annual County Camp held at Tawd Vale, which is an amazing experience for the Cubs and Beavers that get to take part.Over 1000 Cubs spend the weekend there whilst hundred's of Beaver Scouts visit on the Saturday to take part in the activities. This year's event was made extra special as it coincided with the Cub Centenary year and the Beavers 30th Anniversary. Lots of Cub Packs and Beaver Colonies from Southport District were lucky enough to get places and take part in the adventure (the camping places sold out within a week of them going online).

1st Southport Beaver Night Hike & Sleepover

Mar
15

1st Southport 'Willow' Beaver colony held a night hike and sleepover last Saturday. 17 Beavers ventured over the sand dunes in Ainsdale, climbing the highest one to look at the view over Ainsdale and the hills beyond and then into the darkness of the pinewoods. It's now known as the Toad walk due to the numbers that were found on one stretch of pathway by the lake...The Beavers had to walk in single file and manoeuvre their way through them for that short section. Then it was back to their HQ to set up an indoor tented village, watch a film and then sleep.
